*AMP - safe open-source web application testing environments.
TDI’s *AMP suite consists of a number of virtual appliances based on VMware technology. Each virtual appliance provides a basic operating system plus the well-known open-source development stack AMP (Apache, MySQL, PHP). The purpose of the appliances is to allow those interested in trying web application development on a number of open-source operating systems and test these applications in a safe environment before deploying them in production. The appliances provide significant time savings associated with deploying and configuring the components of the *AMP stack and ensuring that they work well together. All virtual appliances have been featured on the VMware Community Vendor site and enjoy an average of 4/5 star ratings.
