The ability to keep pace with cyber threats demands a continuous commitment to the research, development, and analysis of both the threats as well as the mechanisms to defend against them. In 2003, TDI invested in the creation of our own internal Research and Development (R&D) program and lab, called ARX Labs, for the very purpose of advancing the field of cyber security through developing usable products, actionable ideas, lifecycle development, and community enrichment. We accomplish this through algorithm development, open-source tool publication, threat analysis, and maintaining a penetration testing framework. Since its inception, TDI has used Arx Labs to perform research studies and develop a number of production-ready cyber security tools. Through our R&D efforts, TDI has produced the penetration testing framework Arudius, which consists of over 150 different open-source tools for penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. We have also developed an advanced software tool based on IBM search technology that sifts through large amounts of data and files, and discovers potentially sensitive or confidential information. Finally, we developed a tool that identifies and extracts sensitive information stored in the index of major search engines. Our solutions development underscores how important R&D is to TDI's mission, and how committed TDI is to both remaining the leading competitive cyber security company, as well as a valued contributor to the field of cyber security by enhancing the knowledge of the field. We offer this cutting edge expertise as both a service to our customers and a differentiator in the cyber security space.
